Try Google Maps,then try Bing Maps, and finally try Mapquest.
Be sure to use the features that are unique to each. For Google Maps it is Street View, for Bing Maps it is the BirdsEye View.
I want you to reply to this post with your opinion of each of these three map programs. Use complete sentences as you compare and contrast them.
I think the best map program is google maps because the street view is cool. I liked birds eye view but not as much as google maps. Mapquest is great for finding directions, but its still not as good as google maps.

ReplyDeleteOk, I taken aback by these three map applications by Google, Bing and Mapquest. Google and Bing has their own streetview, but Bing hasn't discovered all of the roads yet.
ReplyDeleteMapquest is pretty detailed comparing with Google. Mapquest has a live traffic feature that updates every 2 minutes.
Still I like the images of Google and Bing, but Mapquest is too basic.
They are all usful. I like Bing maps the best because it actually shows you the building or house. Google maps is alright but it doesnt show you the building and mapquest has just streets. So all of these maps are very usful but they are all different.
ReplyDeleteAll of these map sites are very useful. Out of all of them, my favorite is Google Maps. I like Google Maps the best because I already know how to use it and it is easier for me to use. Bing Maps are my second favorite because it also easier for me to use. I don't really like Mapquest because it is confusing to me.
ReplyDeleteAll of these maps are usful. Bing maps is my favorite it is the most life like. Google maps is okay if you need to get somewhere. Mapquest just shows you the streets and nothing else. All of these maps are different, but they all can help you.
ReplyDeleteMY favorite was google maps, it was the easiest of the three to nagivate. Bin maps was my second favorite, but no quite as good as google. I could not even figure out mapquest. Over all this map thing is pretty cool.

ReplyDeleteGoogle maps is amazing!!! Great picture quality! I found so many cool places. Bing maps didn't please me as much. The picture quality wasn't as great and the street view wasn't very great. Mapquest is good for directions and such, but I much prefer Google maps for street view and looking around.

I think that Google maps was the best because of the good picture quality. Bing wasn't as exciting because it was more of a bird's eye view, and I didn't like that. Mapquest looked like it was more for finding directions.
ReplyDeleteI love map quest because my family and I use it all the time. Because of gymanstic, we constantly travel to different places we don't know the directions to. So that is where mapquest come in handy. I like bing maps but I perfur Google maps becasue of the street view. Since we drive and don't fly to get to most everyday trips. I think a street I view would be most helpful to me.

Mapquest is really confusing to me, and helps very little. Google with the street view is really intersesting however you can only go so far, and the picture is pretty old. So, for me, bing is the best a bird's eye view because it is extremely helpful and you can see everything.

ReplyDeleteI prefer Goggle Maps over Bing maps for the street view feature I found more helpful than Bing's bird view, it might be cool and detailed, but the Street View can be used for more useful things.

ReplyDeleteOverall, I believe Google Maps is the most detailed and map-dedicated website out of all of them. Bing's Bird's Eye View may be interesting, but it is probably the least useful accessory that Bing provides. It may be fun to look around with but, honestly, we will never use it. MapQuest has a more animated side to it, and it is very advantageous in finding where you want to go. If you are looking for the best one out of all of these choices, Google Maps would be the way to go. The StreetView feature is profitable if you are trying to navigate your way somewhere you do not know where to go. Google Maps provides directions quickly at your fingertips with detailed images and maps on how to reach your location. It is the obvious choice if you are looking for an all around view of maps.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite of the three programs is Google Maps. I love how you can switch to a map if you needs directions or are planning a trip, or you can switch to a satellite view to see the details of the landscape and building. Google Maps also has premaked areas of intrest, which I think could be useful. Plus, you can layer various things over the map such as weather. I believe that the weather layer is great for seeing what the weather is like where you are. One of the coolest features on Google Maps is Streetview, which allows you to look at something as if you were standing right there!
However, I also think Bing Maps could be very useful. The way the regular map is designed makes it easy to see the various highways and roads, which is helpful. The aerial view gives you a clear picture of the place you are looking at and you can zoom in close. I love how Bing Maps will give you directions and help you find various businesses, and the bird's eye view gives you some amazing images!
Mapquest is my least favorite of the programs, as it seems like it is based only around direction. However, I think it gives a very clear view of the roads, and could be very useful for finding directions.
I personaly like google maps because you can go wherever you want. Bing has a great picture but it was a little more complicated

Despite the fact that th epictures on the Bing maps are newer and genreally better, it just isn't as good as the Google maps, and the bird's eye view is nowhere near as good as the street view. And the mapquest just wasn't even really worth looking at.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, Google Maps is the best. It is easier to use than any other online map viewing system. Street view is definitely a nice touch, but it is not a necessary. Bing has more detailed picture, and Bird's Eye view can get disorienting. MapQuest was definitely the worst. Almost nothing is updated and the picture is nothing to brag about.
ReplyDeleteOn Google Maps i like how you can see the shopping centers right after you exit the highway. Bing maps has newer pictures and thats always helpful. Google Maps is my favorite.
